Earley is a populous town in Berkshire to the east of Reading. Here is the Maiden Erlegh Park, which has a beautiful lake and some splendid oak trees. The oak tree woods is said to date back to at least the 16th century and is full to the brim with flora and fauna. In fact the town is surrounded by a number of beautiful woods: there is the Redhatch Copse off Redhatch Road, the High Woods near Church Road and Pearmans Woods. Lower Earley is fairly new, although signs of its earlier roots can still be seen; amongst the hedgerows and Old Oaks can be found rural tracks and quaint cottages.
