Rayners Lane is in the London Borough of Harrow and it's named after the road upon which is rests. In the Middle Ages the road was a popular trade route and was commonly used to transport grain to the mill in nearby Pinner Green. At this time the road was known as Bourne Lane instead of Rayners Lane. Rayners Lane is the location of a Zoroastrian Temple, an ancient Iranian religion and philosophy based on the teachings of Zoroaster, also known as Zarathustra. It is the only official temple of its kind in the whole of the UK. Rayners Lane was also used as the location for a bingo hall in television series Eyes Down.
