In the London borough of Waltham Forrest is the town of Chingford. It began life as a small hamlet on the River Lea. Nearby are the epic greenery of Epping Forrest and the famous Pole Hill, which, in the 1920’s was owned by none other than Lawrence of Arabia; he eventually gave the Hill to the local area.
